The team at Tomorrow Together wanted a brand that was warm, inviting and informative. The brand identity needed to reflect the youth led and future focussed nature of the kaupapa.
Greengrower
Greengrower is a company run by New Zealanders, for New Zealanders. Greengrower has researched into the most cutting edge agricultural practises around the world to bring them to the shores of Aotearoa. Using this indoor vertical farming technology, Greengrower grows the freshest most high-quality leafy greens all year round. Because the farm is completely indoors, the crops are unaffected by weather. The farm runs on a cyclical irrigation system. This means that the water that the company does use is recycled back through the system and used again. This means that the Greengrower farm uses 95% less water than regular farms.

As part of my time in the Panana Programme at Ocean Design in 2023, our cohort worked with the Greengrower story to develop a brand identity concept based on a reverse brief. This was a mock assignment created for myself and the other young designers in the programme. It was an incredible learning experience. In just six weeks, I felt like I gained a degree’s worth of knowledge.
My approach to the Greengrower visual identity came from a desire to reflect the company’s fresh and innovative approach to the agricultural industry. I also aimed to express a sense of movement and change, as Greengrower feels like a response to our rapidly shifting global climate and the growing need for more reliable, sustainable food sources.
